Each workshop allows eight participants to make a short film from
initial concept right through to the final edit. The workshop covers
each and every aspect of digital film making from conceptualisation,
storyboarding and scriptwriting to performance, camera techniques,
lighting, editing, titling, dubbing, special effects, sound, video
capture and writing to VHS. Time permitting, we can even include
musical scoring and mixing and digital graphics (sleeve design).
Industry-standard equipment and software packages are utilised throughout.
Using the Sony PD150 broadcast DV camera and computer editing with
Adobe Premiere, we will cover all aspects of digital film making.
By Sunday night, you will have a digital movie that you have created
and produced from scratch in only two days regardless of your ability
or experience. Whether your interests lie on the technical side
or in performance (or both) you will receive full hands-on training,
an introduction to the industry, a huge sense of achievement and,
of course, your name on the credits!
The cost per person is UKP275.00 (negotiable
for large groups) to include all instruction, use of equipment and
superb professional catering on location when booking, please
ensure you include details of any special dietary requirements or
medical condition of which we should be aware. Bookings are now
being taken for our 2003 programmes. If you are seriously interested
in learning how to make your own films, early booking is advised
in order to avoid disappointment.
